Guys: Buy this for your women (or yourself)
If you like the smell of candles but don't like the flame and mess that comes with them, you should try these Scentsy wickless candles. You put a scented wax in a warmer and presto! instant good smells.
I bought one and it really helps with the kitchen and pet (think wet dog) odors in your house.
Rudezen approved! You buy now! Not later, later - but now!

Pimpin' for Amazon
So, I add this little link thingie to the bottom of my blog that will take you to Amazon. Apparently, it looks at what I write and then adds relevant products to the banner. Such as when I mentioned Zicam in a post, it puts up Zicam in the banner.
Well it's obvious that Amazon does not sell Ferrari's. So let's try an experiment:
Batman
Harry Dresden
Graphic Design
300
BT
Green Bay Packers
Mario Batali
Jeez, I'm bored...

This is how it should be done...
Ferrari's Formula 1 team enjoyed tremendous success with Ross Brawn as its technical director. Now Brawn (after a year sabbatical) is taking over at Honda. How much is he getting paid? - Well, Brawn's Honda salary will be performance-dependent, which he said is a 'great incentive' to deliver for the Japanese giant.
Do you hear that all you under-performing CEO's? Performance dependent. Hey, I'll take over at Merrill Lynch if you can get a $160 million payday after posting an $8 Billion (yes, that's with a "B") loss.
Anyhoo, we'll see if old Ross can muster the same magic that helped win Ferrari several world titles. Let's hope the first thing he does is get rid of that horrible "Earth First" livery that the cars had. Unless you're using bio-fuels or racing a hybrid, seems a tad hypocritical to be jet-setting the world and racing your cars under the guise of "educating" us morons about the "earth's delicate environment". Blech.

The power of Zicam...
I'm just saying that if you feel like you might be getting sick...don't wait for the sore throat tickle or anything like that - get Zicam! I prefer the melt in your mouth tablets, as opposed to the chewables or the spray up your nose (yuck) product. I started with the sniffles on Tuesday, started slamming the Zicam (and the fluids, gotta keep hydrated), and Wednesday was my "worst" day. Constant runny nose and generally feeling "off".
Unfortunately that was also an evening that I was to spend with my sweetie, so I'm afraid I was not too much fun to be around. I did manage to cook a dinner of chicken and pasta, while Jorene made her awesome green beans. After she left, I took a hot bath, (more Zicam) and smeared some Vicks on so I could attempt to breathe while sleeping.
Today, I feel like that post-cold feeling you get when you know it's over. So far, very little runny nose. I think if I repeat the process today and just rest tonight then I should be good to go for our big banquet this weekend. Jorene gets "officially" presented as a new board member for the Chamber of Commerce. As her "eye candy", I have to look good, with no sniffling or sneezing going on.
So, when this post eventually makes it to the makers of Zicam....I'll expect a nice check for my endorsement!

Hey guys, does this happen to you?
So last night I was helping my girl at her networking event, which basically consisted of me toting boxes from her car to her display table. The atmosphere was nice (a furniture store), and there was food, wine and other goodies to sample.
Anyway, one of her networking ladies owns a jewelry store and had some very nice samples on display. They thought it would be funny to pull me upstairs to look at the shiny stuff while Jorene was downstairs. So while I was up there I bought a nice pair of earrings for her (which went into my pocket), and a fun pair of BSU Bronco earrings for her. I had Anita (the owner) put them in one of her big black jewelry bags and went back downstairs. There were oooh's and ahh's from some ladies when I set the back on a table and Jorene saw it was a jewelry bag. She finally opened it and started laughing because she saw the orange and blue earrings. "You guys were just messing with me!" Indeed, because the real earrings were in my pocket.
Now here's the part that I want to know if this happens to you. When I do stuff like that, or sometimes give my sweetie a smooch on the cheek in public, or maybe whisper a sweet nothing in her ear, she kinda gets embarrassed and turns her head away from me. All I get to see is the back of her head! I miss her cute little smile! In fact, if she's reading this now she's probably shaking her head with a little smile on her face and turning a bit red. I knew it! I can totally see you doing that now!
Oh, I gave her the other earrings later. She liked them. And I got to see the back of her head again. ;-)

Lasagna, BSU football, and murder....
Yes, I know it's quite the macabre combination in the title, but it fits. Last Friday I was able to try some authentic Italian lasagna, as prepared by my wonderful girl. We went to watch the BSU game at the home of her friend's, and the food and company were both excellent.
The game was good and the win by the Broncos even better...
As for the murder, Jorene's friend Cassie decided to share the story of a recent murder trial, including all the gory details like "The whole trunk was filled with blood.", and "Didn't think a body could fit in that small of a space." Yes, feel that lasagna coming up a bit don't you?
Good thing we didn't have tomato soup and finger sandwiches.....Doh!
